Today is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Black women are incarcerated at higher rights than their white female counterparts and are overrepresented in the criminal justice system. How many Black women are on trial for crimes they are not responsible for? I will continue to use my voice and stand against racial violence and systemic barriers against Black women. I will continue to support their families and their children as Social Worker.
